His bones ached with the dull pain of travel. His paws have grown numb and calloused from the endless steps across countless lands. His muscles were overly tense, and each lift of the foot was a work out. What hurt this old wolf the most was heart, for he has come to this place for what he deems an ugly purpose.
Ruhinda could feel the strong life force around him. All this energy being released and ever slowly fading into a place far beyond all natural reach. Ruhinda could tell that this was a graveyard, a special place were his people could go to leave this harsh planet in peace. He was rather familiar with this type grounds. He would often go to one that neighbored his former pack's territory to calm his soul, hone his spiritual senses, or simply pay his respects.
Now, he comes to a graveyard for a far different cause. It was the dead of winter, a time when elders like himself were in the most danger of the elements. His lack of a tribe has left him even more at a disadvantage, and he has been slowly starving. His ribcage grotesquely stuck out from his sides, and his useless eyes shank back into his skull. He has become little more than a walking corpse over the past few months. Ruhinda was obliviously on the brink of death, and would surely make this graveyard his own unless he finds a corpse. Any corpse.
The thought turned Ruhinda's stomach. To eat your own kind, under any circumstances, was a wicked idea. Yet this was exactly why he was here. The instinct to survive have pushed him to this point, and Ruhinda was sickened by it.
With his hyper sensitive noise, he sniffed along the ground. A part of him desperately hoped that the scent of the dead would lead him to one more day of life. Another part of him wished he would find nothing, and just except his gloomy fate. How Ruhinda wished that he was just a little younger, and had the strength to hunt down his own food. How he wished he at least had a pack for support in these harsh times. How he wished some would deliver him from his strife.

She could see the elder there, barely standing and looking as if he may fall so soon.. The slight mist that hung in the air may be enough to serve her, she thought, and so pulled it close around her to form a silvery, translucent wolf's body. She stepped over the air toward him, collecting the droplets and rendering her shape ever clearer as she went. Her eyes, glowing in the phosphuresence of her spirit, the same shade as her pelt and mass, held his shape to her mind as she came nearer. She ruffled the fur on his shoulders and about his neck to allow that she was there.
What do you need..? You will die here without food, and will lie within these gravelands forever. But I will help you to continue on, in this cold of winter.. I come to you only because I know what you need, and can feel it running through the cosmos surrounding to my realm on the border between life and death. I will keep you on your side, as I know you feel it wrong to do what you must to survive.. And before I will leave you, for I will come only once -- if a wolf is lucky enough to see me at all -- I will grant you what you need..
The fae dove off into the trees, the droplets that made her up dissolving and separating, dividing her into streams of incandescent mist. They swirled between the branches, the trunks, the fir trees' needles, before dancing back to where the elder now stood. She reformed hesitantly, holding in her jaws a small kill which she laid at his feet..
Eat this, and survive another day.. The fur of the creature shimmered being frosted with snow and glittered with droplets of mist. It was a forest creature, roughly larger than a rabbit, that would serve him should he choose to make use of it. With a small smile upon her maw the Spirit Wolf disintergrated, slowly fading away to invisibility, though stayed watching to see what he would do. She was, after all, but a mind game to be played on the lost and the weary, though they need not understand her to accept her help should they decide...

Ruhinda could feel the overwhelming spiritual energy swell all around him. He felt a tad foolish for having forgotten the strong paranormal activities that are often housed by graveyards. His embarrassment swiftly evaporated, however, when he realized the blessing the apparition bestowed upon him.
Allowing savage hunger to take control, the old wolf opened his jaws wide and sunk his fangs into the soft flesh of the offering. He greedily tore off a hearty chunk of meat, and allowed its flavor dance across his tongue before it slithered down his throat and disappeared into the abyss of his stomach. Ruhinda had forgotten just how heavenly it was to consume food.
After quite some time had passed, Ruhinda had managed to strip the kill down to nothing more than blood stained bones. With crimson life spattered over the ashen fur around his mouth, he rose his head upward and whispered a small thank you with his husky voice and the smallest of grins reaped across his face. Ruhinda then began to steadily walk off into the depths of snowy forest, for he now had energy, and most importantly the hope to move on with his life.
He will survive.

As she watched, a chuckle played about her maw as he departed from the boneyard. The waves that she was shook about her presence -- perhaps soon, perhaps many many years from now, surely they would meet again.
Her eyes apparated for a fractioned second, gleaming with the thoughts that played on her mind, before she dissappeared to once again watch over the afterlife's border...

A pup-like wolf, too, was making her way through the woods surrounding the graveyard. She was sitting there, had stopped to sniff the air while taking a detour around the place. Now she saw something coming through the dark trees. It was a ragged looking wolf, his fur and overall appearance seemed to be a wreck and blood appeared to cling at his jaws. For a moment she froze, startled. The hair began to rise at her shoulders and rump and her auds twitched nervously.
She wasn't sure what to do next, and as he advanced the more she noticed he poor being. He was perhaps an older brute, but doing what and why here? In this derelict graveyard where the thoughts of spirits sent chills up the backs of its visitors. She knew absolutely nothing about him, maybe he was crazy and wandering through on his daily rantings. Though it was customary to think that a newcomer was hostile lest they attack, he may have just been a visitor to a grave. Unless, she thought, he has rabies..
She kept still and observed the creature, carefully checking for signs of his position. Where was his pack? It was true that lone wolves existed, and some of them may have looked like that, but still she was cautious. Could he hurt me? He didn't look like the type to pick a fight with her, but you never know...

The scent of an unfamiliar she-wolf caused the elder brute to come to a halt. His heart beat fluttered slightly and his panic swelled the faintest. He may have gained great confidence after the encounter with the Fae, but he was not prepared to receive any hostility from a younger, fitter wolf. The worst of it was that Ruhinda knew full well that she was aware of his own presence, too. He could feel her burning eyes upon him.
For moment all Ruhinda did was stand there, frozen in the fabric of time and uncertain of his next move. All the pros and cons of confronting this stranger raced through his mind so fast that it was nothing more than a frenzied blur. This decision could very well chose his ultimate fate. Finally, he made up his mind.
"Is someone there?" Ruhinda called with a voice that has grown coarse from years of usage, "If there be any creature here, then show me you are of no threat."
The ragged Arctic Wolf was very stern with his message. It was short of a bluff. Whether this unknown she-wolf chose to reveal herself or not, he wanted to make sure that she a least thought he was much tougher than he truly was if she proved aggressive.
Then he waited...

Her head tilted to the side at the sound of his voice. She could sense he was not in a fighting state, but still had no wish to play upon creatures at the moment. She shook the ruff about her neck and made to lift herself to a standing position, watching him closely as she did so. She took a few steps forward. He smelled to her a bit like rot and looked like detritus..
"I'm not looking to attack anyone. My name is Keisha." She spoke somewhat loudly, not sure if he were hard of hearing or if he could hear perfectly fine. She'd had this problem with what she considered "elders" berfore, either they couldn't hear you at all or they'd start howling how they weren't deaf. "Who are you..?"

Amora was walking along a beaten pathway, she had never been down this way before, but she was always game for adventures. She sudden;y stopped, it seemed that she must have been down wind from another wolf, no wait maybe two wolves. One seemed weak, she could take him, but the other, that would be a more difficult fight. She continued to walk until she heard a growl in front of her. "Show me your no threat" it said, she couldn't tell if it was speaking to her, but like it asked she sat on the ground and waited.

The worn elder allowed his heavy set frown to slowly curl upward. He could tell this Keisha was a good soul, even if she was a little loud.
"I be Ruhinda of the High North" the Arctic wolf gingerly told his company, "I have traveled far in such of food, which I did find with...special help."
Ruhinda let his tongue snake out from its home and wash over his maw, tasting the blood that still lingered and remembering the encounter with the Fae. Soon afterward he added,"I be pleasured to make your acquaintance."
A faint tingle then ran through his spine. He once again felt alien eyes upon him. Ruhinda perked up and became ridged, his whole body focused on a spot beyond the pair. With his gruff voice morphing from sweet to stern, he murmured to Keisha, "We be not alone..."

Keisha's nose wrinkled slightly and her brow furrowed a bit. Her satellites pivoted in a few directions as she picked up the scents around her and processed them carefully. "yes..." Her tail danced upon the air for a moment. She could sense this wolf was a fae, but of what strength? She could not find the any other scent on Ruhinda that would tell of a younger fae's presence. "Do you know her? I mean, I've never caught that scent before. Who...?" The fae's eyes looked deep into the surrounding trees in an attempt to glimpse fur or movement of their watcher from her current vantage point.

Amora waited in the silence, she her tuned ears, picked up groffs and noises but nothing very distinguished. Then she felt a tight tension in the air, she figured that it involved her, so she stepped forward twice. Out of the fog and into a clearing, where the strangers were. She sat again flexing her muscles, all of her hair standing on end, waiting just waiting for something bad to happen. She looked all around her, but when she saw it was just her and them, she relaxed a little but still relaxed.c Her hair went down, and then she introduced herself. "My name is Amora, and I am a wanderer." She announced loud enough so the pair could hear her.

Keisha's visage turned quickly in surprise. She took a moment to register this stranger, her scent scanning and orbs watching her closely. "...hello..." She was hesitant about her words with someone who had just jumped in and introduced herself.
She had never seen her before, she was not a wolf of the Garden Grove, nor of anyplace she had been earlier... unless she had been hiding or was a product of last years pup season. Thoughts of her old pack ran through keisha's mind. Where were the alpha? The beta? The omega and followers? She did not know as she hadn't seen them for many moons. Thinking of the Garden Grove somewhat saddened her, but she did not show it. Instead she spoke to the approaching she-wolf. where was her pack?
"What are you doing so close to the graveyard? You look unfamiliar. How did you get here?"

"I followed my feet. I have been traveling for many moons, my mother Ly, from the pack a little north, has died, or so it would seem...And she left me, and I have been on my own ever since." She added "I look unfamilar because I am," She stood and came closer than sat again.

"Dead?" The fae's words sounded true, and Keisha's heart for a moment felt sympathy for her. "So... you're a loner? No pack, right? I had one once. Not sure what happened to them though. I haven't seen them in a long time.." Her eyes clouded over, then relit as she turned to the elder brute. "Do you have a pack.. it's Ruhinda, right?" She felt silly having forgotten the elder's name so early on. Still, she wanted friends and would be glad for them, so wanted to keep the other wolves talking and maybe get to know the fae...

"Yes, did you know her?" Vinook asked patiently, she had never run into another wolf that knew of her mother before. "You are also correct about my being a loner, I have never met any of the pack that i would have become, and I well never mind" Vinook cautously looked up at the other fae then asked "you had a pack once, what happened ot them?"
