I'm not sure if this constitutes an issue, but I felt this post would feel most at home here.
I have sensed a lack of mission at Cascade Mountains. It seems everyone is doing their own little thing with their characters without any broader ideal for an outcome. I believe a grand plot that connects all players would result in player fulfillment, fewer site hiatuses, and site longevity.
I myself have been pondering over plots for this lovely site. If one is to look at posts from my wolf Ruhinda, you will notice he makes a lot of assessments regarding the dirty deeds of "Wasters". I've decided to drop the idea of "wolf vs. man" considering the fact a large reason why I joined this site was the lack of human presence. However, if you find this idea appealing, you may adapt it.
My second idea is not very original, but it works none the less. It is the classic "good pack(s) vs. bad pack(s)" plot. Since there really aren't any pack here (the one that was made is kind of dead...), there is a lot of room to play around with that system.
Thank you for your time, and please share your thoughts.

There's a lot of stuff going on .. little stuff to do with pairs and individuals but I see what you mean. I do occasionally think of plots but haven't yet come across any good ones. It seems everyone uses good vs. evil as a base for a lot of sites .. we need to think some more and get someone else on this.

Maybe we could.. (with a clown wig) All be friends! No, seriously, we need something. That's pretty good, Quill, but I say we need to encompass everyone and those pose more one-character plotting and less total-world connections. We don't have anyone evil.. that I know of. But no one appears to be "good" either. Something like wolf's rain would totally throw off any realism. I'll look around for ideas, too.

I fully understand what you mean by not wanting the traditonal good-slash-evil thing. I my self believe that true good and true evil do not exist. Instead of black and white, the world seems to be shades of grey. It looks like I really need to think outside the box.

If you want to really go into it .. Evil guys think evil is good, so there you go. And good guys think evil is evil. I don't know but that's what I think anyways.
Maybe I'll check around for plot ideas. Also sorry for our (points to Keisha) extended absences..

I don't mind the absences. In fact, I myself have been experiencing great difficultly getting on this site. My computer jams up often when I enter this domain, and I am experiencing a great number of pop-ups. I cannot fathom why this is occurring as it never happenned when I first joined this site.

Same here. The popups continue to jam the at least the screen every time I come here. Could be proboards? I'll post something up in news 'cause affiliates are asking us if we're active now o.o

Sorry, all my plots have to do with fantasy.. Not just fiction, but fantasy. Umm, um, um. I like the humans thing too - what with the whole lifting of the ban on hunting wolves, maybe about that? Or humans coming in to wolfnap charas for experiments? Or a disease that's ransacking everyone? Or..

Ooooooh yess... that lovely government operation allowing people to gun wolves aerially and hang them from their byplanes .. there's an idea that could work. But then we'd have to let in humans. Plague is different too. Opinions...?

I've been thinking hard of neutral plots, and I've concluded that the best is probably nature based. Some werid virius is mysteriously killing of wolves, or a severe drought is causing resources to grow scarce; something along those lines. Mother Nature can be very indifferent, and it would be a good chance for players to test the pyhsical, mental, emotional, and moral limits of their characters.
