Keisha made her way cautiously onto the plain below the barren cliffs, dark, ragged shapes that had always seemed ominous to her. With no desire to move further alone, she waited for Ruhinda and Amora to follow her...

Ruhinda followed closely behind the two young faes, bringing up the rear with a steady and confident march. Traveling with these new companions was very comforting to the old brutes heart. He felt like he was a part of a family once more, and he was greatly benefiting from it.
From the many days of migrating and hunting with his troop, he had regained his strength and appearance. Replacing the skeleton that once scavaged graveyards was noble looking wolf with lovely white fur that sparked a ting of blue whenever the light hit him.
Feeling the soft grasses of plains under his paws instead the rocky path of the cliffs, Ruhinda could tell there journey to the Garden Grove was half way complete. With long and leisurely steps, the elder strode over to Keisha and stood beside her, his useless eyes blankly staring into the distance.
"Across these grassy lands be your home, correct?" Ruhinda asked. "From what you've told me, it be sounding like a true Utopia. However..."
Slowly, he turned his head in the direction he sensed Keisha. A dead and emotionless expression plagued the Arctic wolf's face.
"...Something does not seem well. We wolves do not be vanishing for no reason. Something be truly ill. What do you be knowing about you're pack's disappearance? Could it be..."
Ruhinda's final word was whispered, or rather hissed, like it was a decaying word infested by maggots and fungus: "...Wasters...?"

Amora had never really heard this term before but she let it go unnoticed. Then she spoke up "last one there is a rotten egg!" she started off not waiting for the others.

Ruhinda couldn't help but chuckle slightly as he felt the air Amora sliced through wash over him like a miniature tornado. This young fae was full of spirit, and it did his worn heart good.
"The youth of today" Ruhinda muttered to Keisha with a pleased half smile gracing his maw, "We better be chasing after her. Who knows what be lurking out here in these grasses."
With that, the Arctic brute began to follow the path of Amora, using his hyper sensitive noise to guide him. Ruhinda was a wolf at the end of his days, and he knew he'd never be able to keep in pace with such a vital fae. With that in mind, he made a steady jog to conserve valuable energy, hoping that Amora would slow down or run out of gas.

"Oh bummer" Amora thought as she watched her new pack mates struggle to keep up. "Alright slow pokes, I'll take it easy on you," smiles in the best wolfish way "For now!"

Keisha after brief surprise raced after the two. "Hey," Her paws hit the earth which at first sank slightly beneath her, then hardened as they neared the cliffs. She paused, calling after Amora: "There's no way we can climb over these cliffs! You're going to crash your face! If we go close as we can get to the base, though, we can easily trot the distance to the left... after that, the Garden Grove is only half a day away."
She hoped the fae would hear her, especially where Ruhinda's eyes appeared troubled. Surely, though, he seemed very wise. Be it as it may, however, she knew only the legends of what lingered beyond the outcroppings... it was said to be the residence of death itself. For this reason she really did not want to cross them when they didn't have to. These thoughts added to the difficulty she knew they'd have if they did try to move over the barren cliffs.
The Garden Grove was easily accessible if you walked or trotted (or in Amora's case bolted) just left of the cliffs they would end, opening up to smooth travelling over grassy fields into the near Garden Grove. The territory was somewhat protected from the lone or rogue wolves of the wilderness by these dark, ragged cliffs that no one wished to explore too close to. She began to veer in the direction of her former home, hoping that Amora would hear and see her.

Ruhinda's ears swerved forward and back, hearing both Amora's announcement of slowing and Keisha's warning of the cliffs. His jog eventually died out, and he began to walk the rest of the way toward Amora. The tender grasses of the fields were gone, and was now replaced by the stone padding of the cliff's basin.
"Quite a pair of limbs you be having yourself" Ruhinda slightly huffed with a weak smile as he neared Amora, "You be having yourself a gift there. Still, that be mighty reckless of you."
Ruhinda took the liberty of sitting down before Amora, resting his tried paws and confronting the younger wolf at the same time.
"We be strangers in a strange land, youngling" the elder explained like a father figure, "To bolt blindly into the unknown be a foolish mistake that could easily become fatal. You have been blessed with a spirit that be stronger than most rivers. Learn to tame it, and you will go far."
With that, Ruhinda shifted his weight back on to his paws, letting out slight groans unheard his breath as he did so.
"Keisha be saying that the safest route to our destination be around these cliffs to the left" the Artic wolf continued on to Amora as he turned to follow Keisha's scent to the trail, "Let us be off then. Remember to mind the native that knows these lands, and stick close to the pack."

"Oh, i guess your right." Amora answered as she watched her other pack mate struggle down the ravine. "You need any help? Here look lean on me here." she said as she pushed up against his side to steady him. "Better?" she asked.

Keisha watched and waited patiently for the two, her fur blowing like waves in a soft breeze.

"Let your wieght rest against mine, I"m not gonna fall" she said pushing her paws into the earth to steady themselves from falling. "Almost to the bottom," she said as they rounded a corner and saw Keisha waiting for them "Better" she asked her other pack memeber when they were on level ground.

The elder gently smiled as he strode along side the compassionate red wolf, letting her seemingly fragile body support his some of daunting weight.
"Such a kind child you be" Ruhinda praised her, his rusty voice soft on the calm breeze, "Good things be in your future."
Together, they continued on, away from the haunting shadow of the Barren Cliffs and back to the welcoming grass of the plains. Such a strange but noble sight they were. A blind Arctic wolf of shimmering blue-white fur leaning beside a strapping Red wolf of a sandy ruddy.

"Ah" Amora laughed as she walked beside her elder wolf. "So more about you... huh?"

Keisha watched the pair make their way across the grass to meet up with her. "Come on, it's only just a little more." Her golden orbs held them in her line of vision. They were almost home... She then recalled what Ruhinda had said earlier. Wasters? What were...? She was sure if she shouted her packmates would hear her, but oh well, she thought, they would find out soon enough when she was closer to the two and they had more time to talk. She could hear Amora speaking to the old brute as they came toward her.
She allowed her tail to dance in the slight breeze that now swept across the grass. Warm air. The weather's improving, she thought, that's good. Food should be getting abundant around the Garden Grove...
