The sound of soft footsteps filled the quiet cavern that was the deep wood. Jet eyes scanned the shadows of the trees as the leaves fell around in the wind like feathers in golds, reds, and oranges. She stopped, her paws resting on the soft mossy ground. Sariya breathed in the cool air that was laced with the scent of pine and of others. She sat and reflected in the shadows, her body tired yet her mind restless. A gentle breeze gave a soft nip at her flowing snowy fur and midnight coloured nose. She did not sense hostility in this land and felt herself growing more relaxed. These shadowed woods reminded her of home, or what used to be home. A sigh left her body, she began to sniff the moss beneath her feet. She crunched the leaves beneath her paws as she began to look for a place to lay down. Her jet eyes once again scanned the wooded earth, "There" She thought as her weary eyes rested upon a soft dip in the earth. She walked slowly to it and sniffed to see if it belonged to someone else. The mossy bed held no scent of others and looked so inviting in the shadows of the many coloured trees. She circled to pad down the dip and then slowly lowered herself down onto bed of moss and coloured leaves. Snowy eyelids lowered over jet eyes that were so weary from travel. She soon fell into a deep slumber in the heart of the deep wood.

He, who was, by all natural accounts, fairly normal-looking was absurdly colourful next to this female one, where he had quite suddenly appeared. Fortunately he was quiet - wait, maybe that was unfortunately. Now he'd be in for it. Sigh. Angry femmes were always a handful to deal with, even if he was charming.
At least, he thought he was, in any case. What, couldn't a wolf afford some pride? It was all he'd had left, after all.
"'Allo then," he said aloud, after sneezing. d**n his allergies. "My name's Rubeus Etcher. And what about you, then, Miss?" Rubeus pawed the ground next to her, digging a little nervous hole beside her back.
Hopefully he wasn't going to get beaten up too badly.
